Typical... Renew contract and bb breaks!

Typical. I signed up to a new 12 month subscription and the broadband has been slowling down all week and now can't connect. It keep trying to connect to the broadband but the bb light is flashing orange all the time. For the odd moment it connects then drops out.

Last time this happened 2 years ago they just had to send me another hub. I am not calling the call centre for 3 hours. Either the hub has had it's time or there are broadband issues in Weybridge, Surrey area.

if nothing shown then can you post the adsl stats from your router if you can connect long enough

is quiet line test ok?  dial 17070 option 2 best done with corded phone

Have you tried connecting to the test socket at the rear of the master socket
Your speed has dropped due to an increased noise margin if you can try the suggestions below  and post back we can advise further
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
also you could try the hints given by poster RogerB in this link they may help http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-in-Home/Poor-Broadband-speed/m-p/14217#M8397

Then someone here may be able to help and offer more advice.

are you connected to the master or test socket?  do you have other sockets apart from the master?

Sorry for the late reply.

So after these postings it worked fine for the rest of the evening for some reason. Now today everytime I connect the connection keeps dropping out.

Noise seems fine on the test line but I have a cordless.

I might try connecting the box to another socket maybe.

you need to connect your hub to the test socket and see if it then disconnects

So tried all the above. Line test seemed fine. Attached to master socket test one and broadband worked ok.

Then put it back in master and then worked for a bit then cut off.

Put a new filter on and then worked super fast for 3 hours and now it just disconnected again.

Getting annoying this!

This happened a few years ago and they kist sent me a new box and it was sorted. 2 years now on the current router. Just send me a new one pls BT!!!
