UHD box remote code for my TV

Please can someone please help?

I just got my new UHD/4K BT Humax box and for the last few days been trying to get the box remote to control my LG UHD TV

I have used the code in the booklet which is also on BT site and all it does is switches my tv off , it will not switch back on or do volume up or down.

code 2992 does not work on the remote so is it the remote that is damage or is that code has changed due to a software update ?

my remote is the thin one with purple BT player button and blue round Y button

My TV is LG 55" UHD 4K 3D TV  UH850V

Sorry tried all that a few times now.....
The remote control just will not work right to switch my tv back on or control the sound up or down .
