Hi I currently have TPLINK AC1900 Wifi Router which is connected to BT Faceplate via Media Fillter RJ11 Connection into DSL RJ11 Connection into the Router
My issue is the Edgerouter Ubiquiti X only has RJ45 Ethernet connections in
Can anybody advise how they managed to get this new router installed, and I intend to buy a Ubiquiti Access point to to provide the WIFI ?
Many Thanks
Edgerouter X is ONLY a router and not a Modem.
You need a seperate modem to connect to the Faceplate via RJ11 then from the modem to the router.
Then you haven't asked your question correctly. Re-phrase it.
PLEASE ask your question in a different way, the way your question reads makes it seems like you're confused as to why the Edge Router doesnt have a RJ11 port.
Your current setup:
BT Faceplate > Filter > Modem+Router > Your networked devices.
what you need and my answer
BT faceplate > Filter > Modem > EdgeRouter > Your networked devices.
Explain a bit more clearly what you want to acheive / what your desired end result is.
