I've noticed that my UHD box doesn't like to turn back on if I leave it in standby for a few days, I tried to turn it on from standy this morning and it wouldn't turn on at all. I flipped the power switch on the back of the unit off and back on, and it sprang to life. However it's failed to record a scheduled recording that I had for this morning, so it seems to be crashing or freezing while in standby? I leave my box in High Eco mode.
This is the 2nd time that it's happened in a few weeks, has anyone else had this problem?
Have you tried setting EcoMode to Low to see if that solves your problem?
Just got home to find that it's done the same thing again. I'm really starting to regret renewing my contract with BT at the moment.
I was chatting to a BT support person just now and they offered to send an engineer out (at a charge of £130 if they find nothing wrong). Seeing as it's only getting stuck in standby at completely random times I don't want to spend all day waiting at home only for the engineer to arrive and end up looking at a momentarily working Youview box.
Same problem here, constantly getting stuck in standby. Have to flick the switch at the back to bring it to life. I hadnt noticed it was affecting scheduled recordings.
Please address this BT as there is obviously an underlying fault here.
Me too, I've taken to leaving it off. Considering i only have it on on champions league / Premier league UHD games . it's not exactly a silent box and it gets hot.
Mine even looks like it's waking up but no HDMI <> TV sync.
