Unable to log in to BT due to issue setting up new BT ID

While trying to resolve technical issues this morning I logged into BT with my old ID. That worked fine.

BT then asked me to create a new BT ID, which I did. It said a confirmation email would be sent to me to verify the ID - none received.

Unfortunately it's locked out the old id. I've been through the "remind me of my id" process and that correctly sends the reminder email to my address, but I can't verify the id until I get a link.

Anyone know how I can get this resolved? As usual BT website refuses to give me anything useful like a phone number to call - all links require me to log on, which I can't!

Resolved. Had to use online chat to get CS representative to resend the validation email. Would be much better if they put a "resend validation email" button on the login page.
