Unable to play message on my BT Studio 4500

I hope someone can help me

 

I have a BT Studio 4500 single handset with answer machine.  Up until yesterday my phone was OK until it started to play up.  The handset did not ring when the phone rang and the answer machine would not play a couple of messages I received and unable to play via the handset.  I have replaced the batteries which made no difference.  I unplugged the power supply for a couple of minutes and reconnected the phone.  The phone and answer phone did not work to start with but then started to work

 

The machine is approx 2 years old and have had no problems until now.  Can someone confirm if this is the power supply or is it a problem with the machine/handset itself

Welcome to the forum.

The phone may be on the way out, but it's worth giving the Out of Warrantee helpdesk a ring to see if they can shed some more light on this, their number (free from landlines) is 0800 980 8999.

My phone is 2-3 years old so it can't be the phone packing up already. If so it says a lot about the quality of BT phones!
