Unexpected Order Email

I've received an email supposedly from BroadbandOrderManagement@bt.com saying the following:

Automatic Mailer

This e-mail has been sent by an automated system, please do not respond to this e-mail.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BT Order Update. Thanks for choosing BT. Your orders will be complete within 24 hours. Should you wish to place a new order, report a fault or have a billing enquiry, please visit our web page at www.bt.com (http://www.bt.com/). Kind Regards, BT

When I look at my account for order tracking I see no orders listed. Now it was around this time last year I joined BT, but I have an 18 month contract for Infinity so that won't expire until later this year. I also had advanced line rental, but signed up again late last year (to keep the Caller ID) ... could this relate to the application of that new advanced line rental?

Thanks
Ian

Re: Unexpected Order Email

Just checked back through my emails and I had one from early June saying about Line Rental Saver running out. I followed the link and re-signed for it and got an order email ... however I didn't get any follow-up email.

Checking my account I see I am in credit based on an amount being credited to it, but my latest bill doesn't actually show the line rental saver.

(Looks like I'm going to have to go through the pain of customer services). 😞
Thanks
Ian

Re: Unexpected Order Email

Just have - I was right, they'd taken payment but NOT applied Line rental Saver. They "say" it'll be applied on the 15th July; they also said they'd email the chat transcript but it hasn't come yet. (I saved the live chat transcript anyway).

Thanks

Re: Unexpected Order Email

What a surprise - they didn't send me the transcript. (Just as well I saved a copy myself, eh?)

Just checked via Live Chat and .... they say it IS now active.

Is there a link to check order history on my account? I can find an order tracker, but not an order history.
Thanks
Ian
