Unidentified Network Issues

Go to solution

I am currently using the Ethernet Cable to browse the internet, but as soon as the cable is removed the wireless connection is unidentified. I am therefore unable to browse the internet. I used the disc to set up the wired connection but when it is used to set up wireless it is unable to verify the wireless key. Currently we have 2 iPods running on the wireless and an Xbox 360 on wired.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

There was no need to load the disc, so the BT Wireless assistant has probably taken over your connection.

Do the other devices connect without problems?

What sort of wireless adapter does you desktop have? Is it an external USB one?

Is it enabled, and can you see other wireless networks when you do a scan?

Right then, read the following document, paying special attention to the wireless encryption and speed settings.
