Well that is a bit rubbish if we aint getting Sky Witness to replace Universal!
Nothing BT can do about it. It was a commercial decision made by Comcast, the owners of Sky.
I want you all thats on MAX HD package to contact BT and confirm if ALL documentary channels are leaving bt and instead getting streamed via NOW TV! also any one that watches crime and investigation BAD news its going !!! i was recently mis-led-sold by bt.. i called some time last week just to add the new NOW TV entertainment and movies pass to my MAX HD pack but as i was told YOU WILL KEEP EVERYTHING NO PROBS.... @MattBlox if you mean you will lose the BT programmes in the Max HD package, then this is true if you sign up for the new NowTV packages. In the short-term these channels will not be withdrawn as BT are still allowing customers to re-contract for 24 months - so I presume not! But I can see that they will eventually be phased out, as I cannot see BT operating two packages/systems in the longer term.
If you want these channels back then cancel the new Now TV packages if you are still within the 14 day cooling off period.
Stew
HI Stew
I did cancel the NOW TV packs and i was told they cannot put the old Max pack back as its stopping, they cannot return the old channels and this is the reason i left the TV side... they should put whats going to happen if you choose these new packs... its a touch sad as i was enjoying BT TV, maybe in future there should be a consumer law to explain everything that's going to happen and what you'll continue to get and lose... it doesn't help that the customer service dept lie and they don't know what is happening them-selves...
Thanks Stew for the reply to my rant,
Matt
@MattBlox , I would disagree that they can’t put you back on the old package, you are allowed a 14 day cooling off period. The old packages are not stopping, not just yet anyway, but I can see that they will eventually. If you sign up on line there are disclaimers saying you will lose some channels but if done over the phone then the Customer Service staff should also make it clear.
Stew
HI Stew,
Not true, i spoke to sales, repairs team, three supervisors and all confirmed that they CANNOT return the old channels, they have gone from my tv guide and i must be the first to get this?
i must say they did say they can return the Max pack but i will not get the original Max pack channels some are going and they told me there is no way to return missing ones....
Phone them for yourself to confirm,
Matt
@MattBlox I am still on the Max 4K package and I still have these channels.
Stew
yes maybe you are fine because your contracted until ..........
but take out the new package which you might do soon and good bye some channels you adore most...
