I am also having this EXACT problem on my PS4 with high ping spikes, and have completed ping tests similar to the images in the original post. I have sent messages on social media to BT and got nothing back. Sign me up to the petition, its the only way.
For anyone who hasn't seen it already,I'll link an article where it shows Bt have admitted there is a problem at last.
It might help to push this if you comment at the bottom.

It's progress, but I'm not hopeful. PR probably whipped up that response five seconds before clocking off.
Been having the same issue as you, to the same Path of Exile server as you! Obviously its not an issue on our side then.
Hi,
Did you ever get this resolved?
Joined BT myself last week and I'm getting this after 2 days of good gameplay:
Pinging google.co.uk [2a00:1450:4009:81a::2003] with 32 bytes of data:

Get out while you can! I'm locked in, wish I had noticed it during the 2 week period.....
I’ve also got this same issue and waiting for a solution as my internet was fine about a year ago and now I can’t play online games on my pc I also got the netgear xr500 and made no difference
Just an FYI on my previous post.
I actually found the root cause of my issue, it was my onboard wifi (ROG Maximus code X)- The antenna that plugged into the board and sat on top of my desk.
I didn't, however, try to connect to the WiFi via a different method.
I changed this to a wired connection and the issue stopped.
Thanks,
Lee.
This still happens. Every 2-4 seconds I get a jump from <10ms latency to >500ms latency.
BT really needs to do something about this stuff because forcing streaming packets (which ill be honest do not care about latency) ahead of LATENCY-SENSITIVE packets is a stupid idea.
Well supposed to have an engineer come today I took the day off work, he didn’t arrive and then when I rang them they told me he was booked but the engineer wasn’t told when to arrive. It’s now Wednesday till they can come out
