I've just received an email from BT headed "Get your TV upgrade now." Here's an extract from it:
It lists all the packages available. Apart from Amazon Prime video, which I don't need, I already have everything I need with my Sky contract, on Sky Q.
I can watch BT Sports, but rarely do - it's old stuff.
If I don't want the upgrade, do I simply ignore the email i.e. do nothing?
It also mentions terms "for new customers with BT Superfast Fibre and existing customers who re-contract their broadband for 24 months." I'm an existing customer but have no idea if I 're-contract for 24 months'. How do I find out please?

I had a similar email this morning as well, offering me the Big Entertainment pack with BT Sport at a slightly discounted price, with HD and the Extra Box service to add as well for myself, its still a little over the price i am willing to pay, i think its fine just to ignore the email if you are not intrested, customers who do want to upgrade their tv package have to also recontract their broadband for another 24 months.
"I'm an existing customer but have no idea if I 're-contract for 24 months'. How do I find out please?"
Can anyone help me with this please? (I've forgotten what to do!)

Hello imjolly. I've tried half a dozen times but it's always been engaged; sorry to say this but that's par for the course for BT. As I mentioned earlier, I think the package is over-priced for me; I have a Sky package that has many more features, such as Sky Sports, Netflix etc., and their subscription reflects that fact that Covid19 has had a major impact on live sports - and probably will through to 2021.
I've just opened an email dated 29th July 18:15 from BT TV. It says that their half price Entertainment offer ends in 16 hours 25 minutes. It's rather last-minute.
My only problem now is that the original offer email mentioned terms "for new customers with BT Superfast Fibre and existing customers who re-contract their broadband for 24 months." I'm an existing customer but have no idea if I've re-contracted for 24 months. How do I find out please?

For existing customers the new TV contract is subject to re-contracting TV and broadband for a further 24 months.
