Previously had regular BT Broadband, but have as of last Friday upgraded to BT Infinity now that it's available in our area (LEYSDOWN, KENT). From the first speed test results have been 15mb or less down and 1.5 or less up. Been getting lower every day. Was told of this 'settling in' period but I'm not buying it.
Not really accpetable paying for 76mb fibre and getting less than half of the lower package.
Is there anything I should be doing to get closer to this speed? Our exchange is 150 metres down the road.
Says everything is available to us.

with infinity it is the distance to your street cabinet that counts not the distance from the exchange
with that estimate I would have gone for infinity 1 package as estimate is only giving max speed of 44mb just over the infinity 2 max that assumes you have a good line with no problems
Sorry thats what I meant, it's the cabinet that's about 150 metres down the road.
are you sure that is the cabinet you are actually connected to?
was it an openreach engineer or contractor that installed your infinity?
go to hub manager then troubleshooting then helpdesk and post stats 1-12
But we should surely be getting much better speeds based on those predictions?
Was a BT Openreach enginner. He said himself when he got here the cabinet was just down the road by the shop, which is about 150 metres away.
run btspeedtester and when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post results
