Upload speed dropped from approx 8mbps to 0.75mbps

Go to solution

Hi,

As per the title really. Following a reboot of my HH3 last night the upload spead seems to have dropped dramatically. Download is fine.

I rebooted the HH3 because I noticed I had a moderate NAT on my xbox 360, and a reboot of the HH3 seems to set it back to open for a few days.

I've checked my line profile, and it's still 38mb down and 10mb up. Download speeds are pretty much between 36 - 37mbps constantly and rarely does it drop below that.

As the DLM has not altered my line profile should I wait for the upload to improve again, or is it worth contacting the forum mods to look at?

Thanks in advance.

Your upload IP profile will not change when the DLM alters anything, it will always say 10mb, so just wait a few days and see if your upload speed returns to normal.

A little update...

I connect wirelessly to the HH3, but I've just connected via a wire and I still get the same speed.

Sounds like a line fault, is your download speed still the same?

Nope, nothing at all.

I leave the HH3 and modem on 24/7, and have two laptops a printer and an xbox 360 all connected to the HH3 (only the 360 uses ethernet) and all have static IP's.

It's been like that since installation which was around Sept last year.

Leave it a day or two, but I doubt it will do anything. If nothing changes then contact the moderators, they will able to help you further.

Just tried turning off the modem and the router, and that hasn't worked either.

I'll pop an email off to the mods as it's been like this for 2 or 3 days now at least.
