From your stats you are now a lot further rom the exchange than you were before hence the far lower speed. Most router only show an attenuation of 63.5 but the true figure is far higher - the higher the attenuation the lower the expected connection speed. The test socket is behind the front pate of aster assuming nte5

John46 i think low downspeed of 576 is due to distance from exchange

The stats provided are with it connected into the test socket.

 

I take it upgrading to the latest home hub is gonna have nominal impact on speeds?

Yes that's what i meant the hh1 stats are wore than the hh2 and they were low - were hh2 stats from test socket?

yes both from test socket?

 

are the speeds dimishing as we speak though because of all the swapping around?

 

what should i do as a next step, blog in the hh2 into the master socket and leave for 10 days?
