I have rescanned the BT Vision box and its all connected to infinity (checked that i can get on demand etc)
but unable to pick up the new BT Sport channels, as keep getting error saying BT Sport is a channel which works via the broadband and it gives me error code VMC016
Anyone else got this error?

Yep! box just did an update and i have the same error code and phone technical. lol as i'm writing this it just came on. Sorry. hope yours is the same
Nope, still got error message, did you get through to technical help on the phone??
no i didn't ring them it just came on after a couple of mins. do you have your box connected to the hub via the powerline adaptors or with an ethernet cable. BT told me that they recommend you use a cable as depending on signal strength and electrical interference using the adaptors might not work
also once the box updates its software bt sport 1&2 and espn shold be on channels 507-509 SD and 510-512 HD
hard wired with a Ethernet cable, the bt sport 1 channel is now working on channel 57 (not HD) but still nothing on 507-512 etc
"this channel is currently unavailable.
These channels come over your broadband. Please call technical help desk on 0800 111 4567 [VMC016]"
don't really wanna call yet as its gonna be rammed lol
I've switched box off, done channel rescan and still no luck 😞
any other ideas?
has your box def been updated ( not a rescan)? to check press btvision- help & settings- settings- system information- and look at middleware version number - should have the word multicast in it. if not i don't think your box has been updated yet
mine is slighty different: 4.79.5 rev.1 256-multicast build: 312766 jun 4. software is same 7.2.3. all i can tell you is since the update i now have bt sport on ch 57 ( the next channel on guide is 70 cbbc) and new channels on guide are 503 test chan. 507 bt sport 1 508 bt sport 2 509 espn 510 bt sport 1 hd 511 bt sport 2 hd and 512 espn hd ( the next channel on guide is 700 bbc radio 1. i am on infinity bt box is wired to hub (although seems to work via powerline adaptors also which suits me better). if this is the same as yourself i can see no reason for it not to be working. unfortunately i think you will have to ring the helpdesk. hope you get sorted
