Verve 450 Problem

Hi

I bought a Verve 450 twin with answermachine yesterday.  After fully charging the batteries and setting up the handsets I made my first call to test it.  Theres a lot of interferance.  Its a hissling noise.  Is there anything I can do to make this stop?  I cant find anywhere on the handset where I can search for other channels.  I have tried unplugging the base unit and plugging it in again but it made no difference to the interferance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Verve 450 Problem

Have you got any broadband services on your line?

If you have, are you sure that you have inserted a microfilter in the phone lead to filter out the broadband signal?

Re: Verve 450 Problem

You can sometimes improve things by connecting two microfilters in series with the telephone lead on your phone.

One filter can sometimes let some of the broadband signal get through to the phone, putting an additional one in the lead usually eliminates the leakage.
