Re: Very Slow Broadband Download Rate from 7mps to 50kbps Please Assist

All the resets/drops in connection have resulted in your line ending up in a banded profile. You need to stay connected 24/7 for 3/5 days with no resets and the banding should release automatically with noise margin dropping to 12/15db and speed increasing. Noise margin should continue to fall probably 3db at a time with speed increases until it get back to normal 6db

This may take a few weeks to get to 6db

Re: Very Slow Broadband Download Rate from 7mps to 50kbps Please Assist

This morning I noticed my BThub Broadband light flashing on its own and I decided to check if there any changes to my

ADSL Line status, its seems my downstream has increased and the Noise margin has decreased also. Does this mean its permanently fixed?

Althought I noticed my browsing speed has greatly increased, its just 24hours I will wait till weekend and have a ADSL Line test again.

you are out the banding so now need to stay connected 24/7 and noise margin will reduce probably 3db at a time with corresponding increases in speed until noise margin gets back to normal 6db  this may take a few weeks

Use this link to calculate your maximum speed http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php

You will be a tad disappointed - sorry.

Re: Very Slow Broadband Download Rate from 7mps to 50kbps Please Assist

given time your noise margin will drop again to 6db with a further increase in speed with your attenuation and a 6db noise margin i would expect at best with a perfect line around 11mb  just leave the connection  to finish  stabilising now
