Hi all,
Since we've been having all this rain lately, good old DLM's kicked in massively on my line and now I've gone from having a nice, stable 74.34Mb DL speed to just over 52Mb DL.
I know it's down to the bad weather, as whenever it rains for more than a day or two, DLM kicks in and knocks a few Mbs off my speed and increases my latency from the usual ~5-6ms to bbc.co.uk to ~16-20ms. 😞
a speed test taken today, http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3330968673
compared to http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3230925840 which is what I used to get. 😞
Suffice to say, I'm not a happy camper, as DLM has now shaved almost a quarter off my DL speed.
Oh and before I'm asked, yes I am connecting via ethernet to the router.
I've just tried the BT speed tester to check the all-important IP profile, but right now, it's not working for me. 😞

Hi there,
I don't use a HH. I use a proper router (Netgear WNR3500L) 😉
There are lots of disconnects in the logs, but that is to be expected when DLM forces a modem resynch. 😞
What have you got as a modem?
When you say disconnections what is being listed?

You had a nice ping, I had one like that once, a while back, over a year, been interleaved all the time, look at my TBB monitor:
Enjoy, yours might last as long as mine has, its come to a point where I believe it will never drop.
Hi again,
I have the white BT modem
Here's an example of the log entries I get on d/c

Hi Batman,
Usually my line recovers after a few days, when DLM stops picking on it. Don't look like that's about to happen this time, though. 😞
I just wish there was some way that BT/OR would track down the obvious external break/join in the cable that's affected when it rains. 😞 This has been an ongoing issue ever since I got the first ADSL variant back in 2000 ish. 😞
@Rottie - The open reach HG612?
