Very odd Home Hub 5 behaviour

Discovered the internet was not available this morning.

Went to BT home hub manager and tried to reconnect was asked for my password which was rejected.

HH 5 had a steady orange light.

I restarted the HH 5 with the button on top of the device.

HH 5 connected then dropped the connection and then reconnected at 55000 kbps as normal, now steady.

Went to the event log (password now accepted) Noticed that no events were logged from around 16:30 on the 22nd Aug. until reconnection this morning 25th Aug. at 08:22.

I have used the internet on numerous occasions between these dates.

I have not encountered anything like this before. My password was entered correctly. 

I believe the internet went down at approx. 11:30 last night 24th Aug.

So Iam concerned that my password was not accepted by the hub and the absence of data in the event log.

 

Any help on understanding this will be much appreciated 

 

My computers are a MacBook Pro. and an iMac.
