Noticed my broadband download speed had fallen substantially. My expected range per BT is 21Mb-39Mb (17Mb guaranteed) (DSL Checker 23.6-41.3) and had previously been getting in the low 30s. Ran the BT online speed checker and diagnosis, chatted online and engineer visit recommended. When the engineer came he took about 5 mins to point of that my downstream sync speed was set at 15.00Mb and that he would raise another fault to understand why. Haven't heard anything since although I understand it's not a good time.
Router has been on and running for ages without restarts and the figure of 15.00 seems suspiciously precise.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
can you post hub stats if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information if hh5 then troubleshooting then helpdesk
try quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
There is a very faint hum on the QL test
If the hum is with a corded phone then report a noisy line. You sure it was an Openreach engineer and not one of those Qube ones?
According to router stats connection time is only 16hrs was that due to router dropping connection or manual reset
can you enter your phone number and post results.

Sure - it may have been recycled to run a test. But in general it is never rebooted and slow speeds have persisted for months. It was an Openreach engineer.
