Voicemail Caller Details

Go to solution

With every other mobile provider that I or friends and colleagues know of, voicemail messages are accompanied by information about the caller - just press "5" or "8" and the caller number is spoken.

My BT voicemail on a sim only contract doesn't seem to do this: does anyone have a fix?

The reason it is a particular problem is that I am often out of range or have to go to airplane mode, so the missed calls don't show up on my call log is the caller leaves a voicemail. Ironically, if no message is left, I get a text (and voicemail option) which gives me the caller's number...

Did you find a answer to this problem as I have the same issue and have been loosing business if someone leaves a voicemail and does no include their number in the message.

When previously with EE I had the option to either return a call or recieve a text with the callers number on it.

Any help would be appreciated

No joy at all. Feedback given to customer services but so far nothing

It's the same with my provider which, like BT, is a mobile virtual network operator. That services from MVNOs are typically cheaper than the host provider's is probably due to a restricted range of bells and whistles.

How does that help, or even contribute to the conversation?
BT mobile are not a "cheap" reseller so unless they up their game I'm off!

It was intended to contribute the possibility that the function you want might be absent because BT Mobile is an MVNO, which could prompt a response from someone who knows. Sorry you found that upsetting.
