WBC FTTP showing on broadbandchecker ordered though bt then had order cancelled as not available

so after having noticed work being done on my local cabinet and receiving a open reach email saying i can now get full fibre I headed to https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/ to check it stated that WBC FTTP was available up to 1000

So i headed to Bt checked my availability and it stated i could have full fibre up to 900mb (it still says it today screen taken 5 mins ago)

so as  it stated everything was okay i went ahead and ordered the full fibre 100 (wanted to be sure it would improve my internet speed before committing to the higher speeds)

this was all back in nov 12th/13th something like that

i opted for

full fibre 100

included the wifi disk

and added a sim only deal on it as well

they accepted the order and booked engineer for 2nd Dec

all seemed to be going great

few days later i received the sim canceled my old sim and started using the new passing my new number on to all the relevant people

30th nov my new router wifi disk and house phone arrived

2nd dec comes and where waiting in for the engineer

get to around 4pm and still haven heard nothing so i logged in to my bt and checked the order everything still seems okay apart from i noticed that the appointment was still showing 2nd DEC but stated that this inst confirmed and they will confirm closer to the time (how much closer can you get than 16hr into the day there meant to confirm)

so i called bt to find out what was happening

to my surprise i was informed that

1) i cant get full fibre

2) there going or cancel my order effective immediately including my sim as it was an offer with the full fibre leaving me with out a phone or internet as i had already cancelled my old provider

so my questions are

1) can i get full fibre? openreach says i can, bt website still says i can, other providers still say i can. just dont want to order it else where for them to cancel it.

2) how quick can i get it installed as i currently still dont have any internet

3) is there anyway i can the the number from that sim card as i have recently updated to the new number and cant in to some accounts without 2 factor verification on that number

4 ) is it usual for bt to just leave people in the lerch like this no sim and no internet for a mistake of theres

the reason it has taken me 4 days to get on and get some answers is i dont have internet or a phone atm and am now at a mates house using his computer.

Then you need to phone again as they are the people who deal with FTTP

Re: WBC FTTP showing on broadbandchecker ordered though bt then had order cancelled as not available

FTTP doesn’t ‘come’ from the cabinet, so work on your local cabinet isn’t relevant to FTTP being available or not available....is your house served by overhead means ( telegraph poles and dropwires ) ?, if so , the preparation for FTTP would be a CBT ( connectorised block terminal ) appearing on a pole capable of delivering a fibre drop cable to your property , is there a CBT on the pole ( search for images of CBT’s if necessary)
It’s possible that the wholesale checker is wrong, or perhaps the local infrastructure is in place but the connection to the aggregation node/spine is incomplete, hence the order being cancelled.
As already suggested, you should ask the FTTP people the reason why, no one on here could offer anything more than an ( educated ) guess
