WE SHOULD OF STOPPED WITH TALKTALK,WE ARE NOW BEING RIPPED OFF

after leaving talktalk we decided to go with bt so after a call to them they said or bill would be £30 a month but its never been less than £50,we found out my daughter had been calling mobiles so we rang bt and they said for a small fee? (talktalk was free)they could put a ban on the line and the man at bt said he could activate it there and the pin he gave me went in my safe as i would never need it again but after a cople of months i noticed on the bill mobile numbers so i rang bt who in a round about way said sorry and took the mobile charges off the bill, thats fine but last week it happened again so i phoned bt againonly to be TOLD that i had deactivated the mobile and that it was active i said it was not but really i got called a liar, straight after the call i rang my mobile and got straight through, but while on the phone i said i would cancel this service as i have been paying for something i have not recieved, against the law in the uk i might add and then to cap it all we recieve a bill for £170.00 this company as turned into a joke and if not knowing better i would think jeremy beadle is going to pop into my house.

we have been to citizens advice who have gave us the ombudsman contact address and phone number but he said try and resolve the matter, but when i rang i could'nt understand what they where saying i think he was asian and i am slightly deaf so i put the phone down

thank you i will try your solution but im not going to hold my breath,to cancel and go back with talktalk will cost me £325 which i just cannot afford

it took me 14 phone calls to get my fibre broadband sorted and they could'nt even tell me what they did or that they where sorry,NOTHING

its a disgrace really

BT can't activate call barring from their side, the customer has to do this themselves. So if you've never done it on your phone then It has never been activated.

well thats what bt tell me now but when we got it the person at bt said he would activate and after the call ended i tried it and mobiles where barred and after 3 weeks it was still barring mobiles this is no coincidence, when i phoned the second time they said there had been a fault at there end

at the end of the day its my word against theres but i do have the message recorded as the operator said he would activate it 🙂

Maybe your phone was out of signal when you tried to test it, but BT can definitely not activate it from their end

I think there may be a mis understanding there what may have been ment is that the product had been made availabe on the line but the pin given should have been used to activate the product by the end user
