Re: WHY BT..is my line slow...again

Are you using wireless or Wired? You'd be surprised at the difference in throughput speed that can sometimes be seen using the two different connection types.

Re: WHY BT..is my line slow...again

The noise margins will have nothing to do with his throughput. The sync speeds are fine, it's the throughput he's unhappy with. Can you run a speedtest using an Ethernet connection if you're not already and post up the results.

Re: WHY BT..is my line slow...again

Sorry didn't see your earlier post where you mentioned everything is wired. When you've ran the test was it the only thing that was connected to the network at the time?

As it goes the throughput you're getting is well within the acceptable range for your line so BT Wholesale wouldn't accept it as a valid fault and therefore no network investigation would be done.

Re: WHY BT..is my line slow...again

Without a series of speedtest over a 24hour period you cannot say that exchange congestion is not a problem the speedtest are needed to prove congestion or some otherproblem

Re: WHY BT..is my line slow...again

Hi your speed tests do indicate a problem although I would not expect congestion at this time of day there could be some other exchange problem causing you low throughput
I suggest you contact the forum mods on this link and ask them to investigate your connection http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 they are a small team ofuk based Bt Specialists who will normally contact you witin 72 hours either by phone or email personally they have a great record for getting problems resolved
