Wake on WAN with Home Hub 5

Hi all,

I've done a quick bit of searching but not found a solution.

I want to set up Waek on WAN for my PC through my HomeHub5. Has anyone got an easy solution?

I've tried setting up using ports 6 and 7 and forwarding magic packets using depicus Wake On Line but its not working. The only sticking point is it may be I might be entering the subnet mask wrong.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Wake on WAN with Home Hub 5

Sorry I can't offer any specific advice on the HH5 as mine hasn't arrived yet.

Two thoughts:
Can you wake your PC using another PC/Laptop whilst at home and connected to the internal network?

Have you setup a fixed IP for the PC you wish to wake in the DHCP setup so the router knows where to forward the WOL packet to?

Re: Wake on WAN with Home Hub 5

Yes I reguarly wake my PC up from LAN using a microserver.

I havent set a static IP, purely because the homehub can port forward to a device (assume using the MAC).
