Want faster speed

Go to solution

Hi

I am currently getting 9mb.  I did a diagnostic test through BTWholesale website and it says max speed my line can get is 21mb and want to know is it possible to get that kind of speed.

I can't get fiber in my area (probably not in my lifetime)

Thanks

Re: Want faster speed

Sorry but that does not mean you can get 21mb - it is standard regardless of your actual connection speed

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

Re: Want faster speed

From the checker estimate you could get about 15mb. Are you using the test socket with a new filter especially if you have extension sockets in other rooms

Re: Want faster speed

Thanks for your help guys.  I was getting mixed messages from BT.  Sales people say I can get faster speed and tech say I can get max 6mb.   9mb not bad but faster would be nice.

Regards,

Ali

Re: Want faster speed

@imjolly everything is new and I did try to connect to the test socket and there isn't one. Line was installed by kelly communications not Openreach. I have a feeling they did dodgy work.
