Last week i had a new install of BT infinity.
The previous owner of the property already had infinity so the socket and faceplate where already installed.
When i called to place my order i tried asking that due to this could they not just send out the modem and the router so i could plug it in. Nope i had to pay the 30 pounds for an engineer to come and "install" it.
So the big day came and the guy pitched up. walked in with all his tools, unboxed the modem and plugged it in.
I asked if he could check what speed i would get at the socket and he told me that no he couldnt do that as it had to be done from the exchange...
I told him that this is my second install and the last guy was able to do it, he just gave me a blank look and walked out.
Didnt even wait for all the lights on the router to finish flashing and stablize.
I paid 30 pounds for a delivery man to unpack a box and plug it in..
i dont have a laptop or a pc setup yet so cant check my speed my self but to say im uninpressed with this service is an understatment.
Am i wrong in thinking he should have been able to hook up his equipment, test line speed, synch and make sure everything was working as it should be before rushing out?
well that didnt happen lol.
Its not an exageration to say he was there for less than 3 minutes.
The HHB hadnt even turned blue by the time he walked out the door.
