Web pages redirecting to http://62.6.38.125/index.html

Hi

I downgraded from bt infinity 2 to infinity 1 the other day. The day the switch happened my Internet stopped working and all web pages are being directed to http://62.6.38.125/index.html, a bt wholesale information page.

Have tried resting the hub. The help desk rand some tests and said connection looked fine. The hub shows blue lights but none of my devices are connecting.

Can anybody help?

Re: Web pages redirecting to http://62.6.38.125/index.html

Looks like something has gone wrong with the circuit build.

You normally get that page when you're connected with an incorrect login. As your using a home hub, the username in that can't be incorrect, so the radius server must be configured for a different username suffix.

or, unlikely though, it has somehow generated a task for an engineer to switch the port in cabinet (not normal procedure) and as such, you're now connected to a port which doesn't have the correct routing to the radius server, or has been configured incorrectly.

This likely needs moderator intervention.

That's the landing page when you are connected to a BT Broadband connection but don't have a BT account. You need to go back to customer services. Its not a technical problem with your line, its an account problem.

Thanks for the info weby and licquorice.

I phoned the helpline again and explained both of your posts. The rep has escalated this to the offline investigations team. A new home hub has also been ordered.

Hopefully they can get to the bottom of this. But looks like no broadband for the weekend.

It's not the hub. It needs BT Wholesale to sort out the circuit.
