What are my options???

Having re contracted in March I have recieved the email today saying that Fox and Discovery are being pulled. I'm sickk of getting into a new contract with BT to constantly see the content being striped (Giving kids channels instead as per the email is just laughable). Having had a discussion at the re contract timing about wanting be to keep discovery as we watch quite a bit had left me pretty peeved.

Can I cancel the TV off the back of this?? I also have BT sport. Can I walk away from the sport and TV as the contract is broken on BT's side? I'd just use the box as PVR for the FTA channels.

Many thanks.

Just heard that Fox channel is leaving all platforms on the UK on 30th June. Content moving to Star on Disney+

Re: Fox channel leaving all platforms on 30th June?

It's going to get worse because Discovery Networks have been bought by AT&T..  So they basically own everything that Disney or Netflix don't own.

bt will be happy  because they want to get rid of tv altogether  and the less attractive it is the less people will want it

@garybs29 BT are talking to parties about buying BT Sport or sharing some content to reduce costs

Ahhh yes those talks (about sport & not tv) which I've already pointed out say they may not lead anywhere, that's some jump to they want to get rid of tv!

Re: Fox channel leaving all platforms on 30th June?

Hopefully given time Sky will replace Fox with another channel on Now.

Hopefully Nat Geo Wild or Eden would be good additions.

Re: Fox channel leaving all platforms on 30th June?

I have seen suggestions elsewhere that National Geographic will also be leaving NowTV at the end of June, but I have not seen anything definite, (yet!).
