Can you get broadband by connecting the income cable to pins 1,3,4,6 rather than 2 and 5?

1,4 and 6 are spare and 3 is for a bell wire for older phones and is not required
No.
1 & 6: Unused.
2 & 5: Phone.
3: Ring wire - not now needed for modern handsets.
4: Sometimes for PABX earth wire.
