Can you get broadband by connecting the income cable to pins 1,3,4,6 rather than 2 and 5?
and also what are pins 1,3,4 and 6 used for?

1 & 6: Unused.2 & 5: Phone.3: Ring wire - not now needed for modern handsets.4: Sometimes for PABX earth wire.
