My average monthly usage is about 6gb per month.
I have just found that I used 71gb in November
so far this month it is 50gb
I only use the internet for general browsing, email and occasional Youtube (maybe 4 hours this month). Total downloads this month about 30mb
I have been listening to BBC internet radio on the iphone a bit - maybe 10 hours total. Could that be the culprit?
If the app is open but not playing, does that still use data?
I have no virus.
I am in the country and there is no possibility of anyone nearby using my wireless (I can't even get it from outside the house).
If I check the BT hub - there are no unknown devices.
Can anyone suggest what is happening?
Unfortunately I have a 25gb monthly allowance.
BT warnings came before I hit this so I wasn't worried about going over too much as I knew my usage was unlikely to go over.
How wrong I was - a £63 extra bill for November!
Do you have a Windows 10 device? Have you turned off Windows update sharing?
Wife's laptop had it switched on. My PC is W7
Could that really use 65gb data in one month!!
