Re: What is better?

I currently have a home hub 2 on ADSL 2 up to 8mb. the main reason I was wanting to upgrade was to get better wirelss range while having a stable connection overall.
Thanks

Re: What is better?

So is this home hub 3.0 really better? Does it give better sync speeds, wireless range than a HH2 or 2WIRE 7000HGV?

Re: What is better?

I am hoping the HH3, will give brilliant sync speeds, along with my ADSL nation faceplate, and shielded RJ11 cable, without those, my connection would be unbeleivably unstable, I reverted it back to the old sockets last weekend and 3 drop outs within 1 minute, now with all that extra equiptments and a 7000HGV (which is the only router that works properly on my line) I get maybe 1 dropout every 3-4 days.

Re: What is better?

My connection proberly resyncs every 30 to 40 days (I don't know if it would stay on longer than that becuase I had to turn it off ha ha) but I was just interested to know if it is better at all that.
Thanks

Re: What is better?

These are my modem stats

Modem Type: Built in modem - ADSL
DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair)
Current DSL Connection:
Down Up
Rate: 896 kbs 448 kbs
Max Rate: 896 kbs 476 kbs
Noise Margin: 6.0 dB 7.0 dB
Attenuation: 68.7 dB 31.5 dB
Output Power: 16.3 dBm 11.9 dBm

Protocol: G.DMT Annex A
Channel: Interleaved
DSLAM Vendor Information Country: {3840} Vendor: {ALCB} Specific: {0 }
ATM PVC: 0/38

Pretty poor considering on a rubbish Hawei they were over 1MB until a BT engineer changed the line routing dropped by a half. 😞
