Hope your all keeping well
We have received notification that we will soon be switched over to BT Digital Voice, a question i had was regarding the cable from the BT pole to the house, does this get replaced?

Nope. It's just part of BT switching off the PSTN part. Your phone service will be delivered via VOIP which comes through your broadband connection delivered via the wire to the house. Unless you're on FTTP in which case I'd imagine that wire will become redundant.

If you are on FTTC, the cable will still be needed to carry the broadband. The phone connection will come over the broadband and terminate on the back of the Smart Hub 2.

If you are still using the Openreach modem as mentioned on an earlier thread, you will need to use the Smart Hub 2, as that is the only thing that works with Digital Voice.
