What should be my best speed, unable to get infinity even though FTTC is live in my area

I live on a new build estate where the local exchange has had fttc just released, using the bt speed checker i am led to believe that becuase the line will only support 12.2mbps they will not install infinity, I am on ADSl Max with a broadband line spped of 1.5Mbps with ADSL2+ due by end of Jan next year with a potential of 2Mbps, bt home hub 2 is connected to master socket by cable and not wireless and stats are

is this the best i can expect?

Can my spped improve if more people move onto infinity and why won't bt allow me infinity despite it being loads faster than my current?

According to

http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php

you should make around 3900 kbs

it is approximate but usually fairly close

Re: What should be my best speed, unable to get infinity even though FTTC is live in my area

I have the same problem and my current speed is only 120Kbps and my estimated speed for infinity is 13Mbps which with infinity will be much more but for me 13Mbps is a massive improvement and they will not allow use to get it is a disgrace.
