What you owe

Go to solution

Due to an issue with Openreach records, the installation of my fibre was delayed for a month. This resulted in orders being cancelled and re-raised. It appears that this has resulted in BTs billing system thinking I've left whilst still in contract.

I called them up and they have told me they have applied a refund of the £358 I was being charged. This was a couple of days ago. Today when I go into the billing section of the BT website, my bill still shows as £444, however the what I owe says £86.

I'm just looking for some reassurance that when the direct debit is taken from my bank account, it will be for the correct amount of £86 and not the bill amount.

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

@sparkymark75 That sounds OK, the bill total doesn't update after a credit is applied but the amount owing does and that's the balance that will be collected.
