When will I get FTTP or FTTC

I wonder if anyone can help or point me to the right resources here:

I've moved into a new home, I can see the BT Exchange building from the Livingroom which is the Auchterarder ESARR. It hosts a wealth of tech and is FTTP & FTTC enabled, it so close I could run a ethernet cable directly to it!! Yet I'm only able to get a max of 17mbps via copper wires..... it's so bad!

EE have advised me the I'm on cabinet 9 (PH3 1AD area) and that FTTC will be going live for my property on the 26th of November, with FTTP work also commencing on this date, but they won't be able to provide it..... I've check this twice with them and each advisor confirmed the same details, yet, BT, Sky or anyone else won’t tell me anything. Openreach web site simply states coming soon. So how do I confirm it is being enabled?

BT currently want to charge me £30 a month for a service where they will only promise 4mbps, but BT will no doubt have priority if FTTC or P get enabled. So I'd rather sign up with them if the info EE have given me is correct. How on earth can I confirm? I work from home so it's very important. Using 4G at the moment but we pull 1.5TB+ a month in this house....

Can anyone help? Could I knock on the door of the exchange and plug directly in? Ha - if only!

Can I even check to ensure I’m on cabinet 9 as EE have stated? Is there public info in relation to planned works etc etc?

@gofunk1

If you are an EE customer, then you need to post on their user forum. This is a BT Retail customer forum. EE have the same access to Openreach, BT Retail do not get any priority.

Put your address in the checker if you haven't got a BT phone line https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.address

Cabinet 9 was fibre enabled in 2016

Re: When will I get FTTP or FTTC

Just re-read your original post, guess you haven't got a phone line yet. Until you do you won't be able to order FTTC.

Re: When will I get FTTP or FTTC

just as you were told cab 9 has a go live date of 26 November but like many other dates may get postponed by openreach

you need to decide which ISP you intend to use and then place your order for phone line and probably standard broadband  once checker shows active for your phone number then you will be able to upgrade to FTTC
