As a new customer I have been trying to set up all the online access I can get.
MyBT seems fairly limited until I have enabled online billing.
I need my account number for this, which is only on my bill, which I can't access until I enable online billing.
This seems very circular with no way out.
I have searched all the myriad of emails and text messages from BT regarding the order, engineer visit, service set-up etc. but there is no mention of an account number.
So, how do i get one?
If you can not find it in the emails that you have received from BT you should contact Live Chat and they should be able to give it to you.
One more suggestion. If you've made any payment by direct debit it will appear on your bank statement, the first 10 characters in the form AB12345678.
