On my old homepage I had a dropdown box for all of the useful bookmarks I would like to keep, this has gone. How can I get my bookmarks back?
As you know BT Retail are in the process of moving away from Yahoo!, at the the BTYahoo login portal has been closed so access to your BTYahoo personal homepage will no longer be accessable.
At the moment you can still login via http://www.yahoo.co.uk to access the BTYahoo services such as bookmarks until all the BTYahoo services are closed later this year.
Once the BTYahoo services have been closed then you will no longer be able to access these services via Yahoo. See http://bt.com/newemailfor more information.
I would recommend signing into http://bookmarks.yahoo.com and saving your bookmarks locally onto your computer or device.
Sorry to butt into this but as a techie idiot I don't understand how to "export" all my folders and booksmarks.
Would you help?
I really don't want to lose them all.
I know the PC uses firefox to get me to internet and that easy old yahoo entrance and lovely home page with al my folders but ..... nothing from there.
many thanks if you can help
Before the BTYahoo portals and services are closed down then I would export all your current bookmarks from the BTYahoo bookmarks website to your PC/Computer.
To do this you will need tp sign into http://bookmarks.yahoo.com with your BT email address and password.
Then Select TOOLS >> EXPORT >> and select what medium you want to export all your bookmarks as to your computer.
The image below may help explain:
I would do this before all the BTYahoo services are closed.
Hope that helps,
