Please could you assist me in locating the firmware version on the HH5 please. When I go to :-
... there is no firmeware option. It just says this ;-
If you’re having problems connecting, we recommend that you first restart your BT Home Hub.
Note: all the devices that are connected to your Hub will briefly lose their connection while you restart, but any customer configuration changes will not be lost.

Conveniently, the current version and date on which the firmware was last updated are also shown in the footer of every single page. For example, the footers on my HH5 indicate:
• BT Home Hub 5 (Type B) | Software version v0.07.06.01239-BT | Last updated 4/3/2017
This is particularly helpful because the same footer is also shown on the Home page which is always visible without authentication, so it saves you needing to log in if you're monitoring for updates.
Thank you for both of your responses. It was in front of me all the time!
My firmware is as follows:-
Software version 184.108.40.206.220.127.116.11.11 (Type A) Last updated 03/07/15
It's very old , do you know how I can force an update?
Although everyone here seems to have accepted not being able to trigger an update directly, nor to request an update via BT Support, nor the firmware being available as a download like on most commodity routers, the lack of even one option of this kind should not be considered acceptable at all.
BT has implemented a hopelessly inadequate, unpredictable and very unfriendly asynchronous update system which doesn't always work, provides no remedy when that occurs, and cannot be blocked at times when a reboot would be inconvenient or worse. It's terrible engineering, and BT should be pressured, politely but firmly, to add an interactive update mechanism for when it's needed.
