Where to report packet loss issue in core network?

Hi all.....

I am experiencing approx 50% packet loss to a server located in the netherlands. My connection is absolutely fine, the issue lies deeper in the BT network. Have tried several other BT connections and all experience the same level of packet loss. Using a VM connection or a VPN over BT, the packet loss is zero. Anybody have any idea how/where to report this?

Thanks

Re: Where to report packet loss issue in core network?

Hi thompsbd

please can you post the results of a trace route to the server or site you are having issues with, this will see if the issue is within BT Wholesale's network at all.

An example of a traceroute is below:

C:\Windows\system32>tracert youtube.com

Tracing route to youtube.com [173.194.41.168]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 2 ms 2 ms 2 ms BThomehub.home [192.168.1.254]

thompsbd,

Here's my traceroute to the same server you tried.

Also be aware that some servers are setup to ignore pings.

I don't think it is an issue on the BT Wholesale network though.
