I have been a customer for seven years now and my monthly premiums are over £60, despite trying to stick with the most basic of packages, as I really don't use my wifi or my TV much at all. I have noticed that when my contract comes close to ending my only options always involve an upgrade, there is never the option to downgrade or stay the same at the same cost. Another thing, especially as longstanding customers, is why do we not automatically get the option of shorter contracts. Why do I have to sign up to another 24 month contract with BT just to keep my account going? Because of both of these, and the difficulty in trying to sort it over the phone (these options are not available online) I am now considering moving on to another provider.
