Wi Fi extender not connecting new Infinity

Hello.

Just had BT Infinity 2 installed and fantastic, but, my wireless-n wi fi repeater/extender connects to the HH5 and tries to authenticate and keeps trying to get an IP address but to no avail. Obviously it worked fine on the old ADSL.

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Re: Wi Fi extender not connecting new Infinity

Hi

Did you change any wireless setting on the extender? I assume you have a new hub which has a different SSID and hence a different password?

(If I have helped you in any way please click the thumbs up. Thank You)

Re: Wi Fi extender not connecting new Infinity

Unless you were using a BT home hub before, then the IP subnet is likely to be different than your last ISPs router, so you would have to reset your extender to factory default, then set it up again, so it pick up the new settings.

Re: Wi Fi extender not connecting new Infinity

I had several ws320 extenders which worked fine before I had BT Infinity.

Afterwards I got IP Address conflicts. Unfortunately I couldn't change either units so I had to buy Power line extenders with different IP address. All OK now.
