so printer on the network and you can print so as far as networing the printer and HH everything is working.  problem is with the MAC not scanning so I would re-install driver from epson website

OK. Worth a try but it all worked well with the SKY router. Only encountered problems since changing to BT.

but if printing wifi then printer is conencted to your home network suggesting to do with MAC/printer and not the HH

That's the snag. Printer sometimes OK, scanner less so but works occasionally.

I would re-install the software on your mac as you may well need a driver update.  The fact that it does work suggests network ok and problem is MAC to printer

 

does your printer show wifi connected with symbol and green bar in top RH corner
