My WiFi keeps going on the blink.... I can see the network on my laptop and but when I try to connect it fails... broadband is ok cos I can use the on demand functions on the TV... so it's just the WiFi. I have spent many many hours on the phone to the help desk in the past getting a connection, but it's obviously an on-going problem... I've tried re-setting the home hub, and turning it all off and on again (things they ask you to do when you call the helpdesk) but it hasn't worked.
Any suggestions would be most welcome... I don't think I have the energy to spend another day on the phone to India!
If you're using a hub3, manually change the wireless channel to disable 'Smart WiFi'. If you're using any other type of hub, this still applies - select either channel 1,6 or 11 and see if it still drops.
Another option is to install a wifi sniffer that will report back what wireless channels are in use in your area, then select a less congested channel
