The cable between two poles was replaced last year by OR. It had to be fed through various tree branches and had worn out due to abrasion. The OR guys said it was only a matter of time before it goes again.
The trees (not on my property) have now been cut back and the tree surgeons say the cable is already knackered and one more storm will finish it off.
Obvious, with a whole family working / studying at home in lockdown I can't wait for this to fail before being replaced so will BT/OR replace it if I call them? I am just foreseeing a painful conversation with someone in an overseas call centre not understanding the problem.
Thanks
It has nothing to do with BT, it would be Openreach that would replace it, only if there is a fault reported by a service provider.
do you have any problems with your phone line due to the cable? if not then openreach motto - if not broke don't fix it
