Re: Will I be forced into the new packages

Go to solution

@SpiderPig & @Longshanks0511 ,

The new package is cheaper but I have no info on what it actually covers so can’t tell if anything’s missing.  It’s also only a 1 month contract.  I agree I’ve been denied the option to opt out.

My first reaction on finding an order I didn’t place was that my BT account had been hacked.

How difficult would it have been to tell me they were planning this.

Lets see how long it takes BT to respond to my complaint

@snmunro

If it's only a 1 month contract than that sounds right, you are now out of any 12, 18, or 24 month contract.

The minimum contract is a month, so your contract now runs month to month, so the longest notice period you have to give BT if you completely want to leave is just a month.

You should have received an order conformation which details your new package and terms.

This is a legal requirement, as even though you are now just on a month to month contact, it is a still a contract, and you have the right to a formal breakdown of your new contract.
