Will my BT vision box work independently?

I am planning to change from BT to another provider but only taking phone and broadband package as I don't need a TV package. I'm well out of my contract time. Will my BT vision box still work independently to record, pause, ff, rewind etc?

It will still work as a FreeView PVR, and all the non-BT apps will still work on another broadband connection. Catchup will still work.

I am assuning that its a BT YouView box that you have.
