Win 7 / Live Mail - unable to empty trash and junk folders - folders not found.

Hi guys.

I cannot empty my trash and junk email folders from my win 7 account.

Inbox - select file-c lick 'Delete' - message "The selected messages could not be copied to folder"

Inbox - Click/drag file to Junk folder - same message

Inbox - Click and drag to 'Trash' folder - message appears to go to the trash folder - transaction completd OK, file appears in trash folder, highlight items in trash folder and click 'delete' - same message - click 'OK'Items disappear from trash folder, wait 3 sec, double click trash folder all deleted files reappear.

Using Ctrl-Shift-Del does not work.

happened first when BT introduced thir 'improved' email system.... I may have selected something...

Any clues?

Have a look at message 11 in this  thread and make sure your folders are mapped correctly.

I have tried to find the screen which appears in message 11 and i cannot get to it from  any heading on my email page. Sorry to be a bit dense.....

OK, found it and it appears to allow me to empty the trash folder. I will update you when I have lived with it a while......
