Thanks. Yes it is on ch 11. There is no interference as far as I can see from using the inSSIDer. Why will changing to a lower channel help? Is it a case of changing it to find one that works? Seems a bit steam-age! On HH 1 the aerial was external while HH2 has no visible aerial. Since HH1 worked perfectly well I suspect it had superior radio propagation characteristics which have been compromised by removing the external aerial as well as by the change to 802.11n. Just a guess. (Can it be forced to use 802.11b/g to see if that helps?)

Thanks Devon_Dave. I changed to channel 4, why not? and it seems more robust.  Managed to watch a 30 minute iPlayer stream without a problem. Will monitor progress and post if anything significant occurs, but so far, so good.
