Hi Afterthought, Welcome to the Forums 🙂
Have you tried changing your Wireless channel?
To do so, go to 192.168.1.254 -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Wireless -> Change the channel to a different one and hit Apply.
I hope this helps
I have a BT home hub 3 model B, when I set the encryption to WPA2 it will not connect wirelessly to IPAD2 , windows 7 laptop or to my Iphone4.
It will connect to these when set to WEP. Obviously WEP is insecure and I need to go to WPA2.
I am pretty convinced the client devices are not at fault. I have tried fixing the wireless channel to 11 , I have tried resetting the SSID and the key.
I have reset the system.
The software rev number is V100R001C01B028SP01
The default wpa2 key when I to complete reset appears to a a hex string.
The above devices will connect wirelessly to my upstairs netgear wireless access point via WPA2.
Also I get Frequent drop outs to wired LAN - this impacts internet radio on Sonos and Pure systems
The HH3 is only recently installed and has old software - how do it get it updated please.
Any suggestions or help welcome.
Just set it to WPA only and not WPA/WPA2. WPA is quite secure enough.
You will have to delete any existing wireless setting that may have been remembered, then re-create them again, as the encryption method has changed, and the devices do not know it, and tries to connect using old credentials.
I forced everything to use new credentials by creating a new SSID and key in HH3, iphone and PC
did a restart.
It still does not work with WPA. not on pc, not on iphone.
I tried calling BT Broadband help, ended up talking to a lady in India - unfortunately rather cluelesss .
Did not know what encryption was!
